Work in progress.   Some recent commissions
Have nearly finished sculpturing the sun lounger as winter
approaches!..... but mounted at my workshop back door it will
be great to relax on at smoko time!
Harking back to olden days with this oak sideboard
that was designed to cover a wall heater in the summer.
The sides are housed directly into the turnings to make it
all appear as a boxed in table.
Working on a TV/entertainment unit in oak. Will house a 32 inch TV
plus storage for dvd's etc. The whole front has doors in the style of
my previous project as seen down this page .
Using swamp rimu to create this new
hallstand that incorporates a mirror
plus storage chest.
Nearing completion on a set of rimu
chairs in the same swamp darkened
rimu. They will have black leather
padded seats.
For the garden: a balinese style Bale'. The top will be thatched with
flax or cabbage tree leaves.  See the carved detail on the posts.
Studied examples in Bali in July to reproduce this one!
Cabinet in swamp kauri  .. will house
hundreds of LP's in 8 drawers. Each
drawer has the 4 random thickness blocks
on front with a golfing 'Tee' style handle
TV unit with maple construction and mixed timber
laminated drawer fronts. The four drawers open on
soft-close slides. 150cm wide for any size tv.
This cabinet to take a TV on top and equipment
below is all of oak with some colouring of the front
mosaic door and drawers

Just finished a set of chairs in rimu and
4 seater round table to match. Seat is
upholstered. The back made for long
sitting and I find it comfortable and
supportive.
