Somalia/Kenya Famine Relief..
a New Plymouth based effort to directly help the famine victims
Somalian food refugees are pouring into
North Kenya (those that have not fallen
along the way of starvation). Their cattle
have died and the crops failed because of
drought. They are in urgent need of food,
water and medical help.

I would like to do something with your help
very soon. A 6 ton truck is available at
Robin Aims mission (formerly of New
Plymouth) in Nairobi ready to be filled with
food for the journey to Eastern Kenya.
We plan to reach famine refugees in areas
not already receiving help from the UN or
other organizations and work with churches
there already inundated with famine victims.

There really is no time to lose. Funds are
needed to buy at least two two truck loads
of meal costing $4000 each. Hopefully we
can do even better. I hope to 'accompany'
the funds to Nairobi by mid September to
oversee purchasing, packing and
transporting the supplies alongside Robin
Aim and the organization. 'Convoy of Hope'.

I hope you can come onboard to make this
urgent relief possible.
Gratefully, Steve Bowkett
Solicitors Nicholson's have kindly offered to
oversee collection and cheques can be left there
