Mercy
Dash to
Somalia
Somalian food refugees are pouring into North Kenya(those that have not fallen
along the way of starvation). Their cattle have died and the crops failed because of
drought. They are in urgent need of food, water and medical help.
I would like to do something with your help very soon. The truck we used in Febuary
for Carl Butlers Hope and healing festival is waiting in Nairobi to fill with supplies to
get to the Dadaab area.
There really is no time to lose. Am seeking sponsorship now for food and supplies
which will be bought in Nairobi. On the first arrival we will assess doing a second
bigger load depending on funding.
I hope you can come onboard to make this urgent relief possible.

Thanks to all that are making this possible!
Great News! Had a fantastic experience delivering food to Somali
famine victims with the help of 'Convoy of Hope' close to Dadaab and
Garissa. Despite new travel warnings by NZ govt we travelled 100's of
k's over dry sandy tracks reaching the nomadic tribes of Somali. They
were very appreciative and I think they got where I was from after drawing
a map of NZ in the sand!
Only got stuck once in the soft sand
of a dry river bed. The 4-wheel drive

branches and leaves. Here delivering

I enjoyed the experience...life-changing!
The even better news is that some areas received rain 3days later. Left
them some 'Taranaki Sunshine'! It will take time for that to change the
situation but it will make some growth for the animals the herdsmen keep.
I did get to try some 'goat stew'!
Thanks on behalf of the Somali people to all donors
